Achilles Tendonitis
Achilles tendonitis is an injury to the thick, strong tendon which attaches your calf muscle to the heel bone.

Injury occurs when tension and strain exceeds what the achilles tendon can safely handle. This can then result in pain, inflammation and degeneration.
The pain can be aggravated by activities that repeatedly stress the tendon, causing inflammation or pain in the first few steps of the morning or after sitting down for extended periods of time which gets better with mild activity.
